A woman’s crib to make from Lego

A woman who’s had to make her own crib from Lego has been sharing her journey on Instagram, with some of her creations having sparked debate online.

The DIY baby crib has been shared more than 1.2 million times since it was posted on the Instagram account of Joann Crafts.

The 30-year-old mother of two said she made the project after her husband was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy.

“I decided to try and build a crib from my favourite Lego set, Lego Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,” she wrote.

“They’re really popular and I loved them so much that I thought, why not give it a go?”

While the idea of using Lego to make a crib was initially laughed off, craft enthusiasts have been quick to praise the work.

“It looks awesome,” one user wrote on Instagram.

“So beautiful!,” said another.

“My favorite is a ‘Lego Baby crib’.

It looks so good and it’s made from a box, not a brick,” one comment said.

But others were critical.

“What kind of Lego does one need to build a baby crib?” one commenter asked.

“This crib looks so nice but it’s just so much work.

Why is everyone so quick to mock the craft of a woman?”

Another commented: “It looks really well done.

However, the child is not very young.”

The woman has since received praise for her work, with many sharing their thoughts on the project on Instagram and sharing photos of the finished crib.

“Love your work JoAnn!

I’m not sure what I would have done with my own, but this is amazing,” one wrote.
